The most effective opening five moves to make.
• where you can pretty much make these 5 moves, and
• then look up at the board to see that the defense did,
are: 1. Nf3. 2.g3 3.Bg2. 4.d3. 5.0-0.
If a crazy opponent runs at you with a pawn or piece, then capture it.
Otherwise, black will likely set-up a formation that is a Kings Indian reversed.
i know what is a best 3 move opener not a five.sorry.

Um, if the defender plays d5, maybe an unsupported e4 is not a great move.
OK, an 4 move opening where you do not have to look at black
1Nf3, 2g3, 3 Bg2, 4 0-0, 5 look at black’s center and decide if you want c4 or Nc3 or d3 or d4 or e4.
If 5 is a magic number, Re1 or a3, then look at how Black controls the center.

The King’s Indian Attack might be worth a look. The moves e4, d4, Nbd2, Ngf3, g3, Bf2, and 0-0 in some order are almost always played.
Of course, there are minor exceptions (e.g. Black plays d5 and then takes on e4), but they’re easy to deal with.

Such an opening doesn’t exist. For any opening proposed, Black can move a pawn down and take something valuable.

1. Nf3. The Réti Opening is a chess opening characterized by that opening move.

2.g3 3.Bg2. Early fianchetto the kingside bishop prior to a king-side castle.
This is in the spirit of the hypermodernism movement that Réti championed,
with the center being dominated from the wings, rather than being occupied.
4.d3. This move and alternatives are in hundreds of sample games at these links

5.0-0. It is generally a good idea to castle early in the game to
get the King to safety before attacking and opening up lines in the centre.
Otherwise, those lines could lead directly to an attack on your king.
